Undergraduate philosophy students need exposure, we provide it.
Created by students studying philosophy, Techné aims at providing competitive and accessible exposure to academic philosophy for undergraduates. By empowering the next generation of philosophers, the University of Illinois philosophy journal hopes to encourage, and provide needed feedback for, its writers.
Why submit to Techné?
- Informed and committed editors — Techné builds, educates, and trains its editors every fall semester with the intent of assembling a committed team dedicated to publishing a competitive and comprehensive philosophy journal.
- Timely and comprehensive feedback — Techné aims at providing a comprehensive referee and feedback report to ensure students have ample time to revise and resubmit for publication. By doing so, students have the ability to offer their best possible submission.
- Accessible publication — final publication will be available for view on our website in spring 2026. This offers an accessible avenue for students to showcase their work. In addition, after publication, Techné will host an individual author page with the corresponding paper on its public website.
